I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. With my husband in the US Navy, I spent my young adult life moving every three years with our family. After he  retired, we became dependent on my job for life insurance. Unfortunately there came a time when I could no longer do the work and lost my job. I had no idea that my workplace insurance policy could not be continued after I was no longer an employee. Over the next several years we put it off, ignored it and really didn’t think about. The death of my parents changed all that. I was thrust into the decisions I never wanted to make and the final details of their lives. All that on top of the emotion. I was so thankful that money was not an issue. It was then that I began to worry about what my children would do.

My brother happened to be an agent and educated us on our options. We got approved for policies that were exactly what we needed. I told several of my friends about my experience acquiring insurance. Many had no insurance and many that did, didn’t really understand what they had. It was then that I realized that MetFinancial was different because they educated us so that my husband and I could make a decision on our coverage. I immediately started thinking of all the people that I knew who could benefit from an insurance agent that would listen and educate. I wanted to help. I have many friends of Medicare age, so that was a natural next step for me. The first thing I learned was that every Medicare recipient has an agent but most rarely speak to them.

I strive to be the kind of agent who will listen, educate and help people realize what they need as well as what they can afford. I am here with MetFinancial because not only is it allowed, that philosophy is encouraged and nurtured. I want to be a different kind of agent and I am.
